Land Disappearing: A few weeks ago, the Marshall Islands Journal published a photograph of a front loader excavating sand off a beach in Delap and the MIJ pointed out that not much has been done since this issue was publicized at the SOPAC conference a few months ago. There are others that are excavating huge amounts of sand every day. In the Woja district, you have to only walk along the lagoon shore and talk to the landoweners to see one of the destructive effects of this continual dredging. Majuro residents and landowners should know that the sand and the land is disappearing and its going faster than before. On behalf of the Woja district, I have forwarded our concerns in reponse to the EPA's request for comments on the Lojemwa dredging site application. The EPA has heard, now it can respond.  Laddie Jack - Councilman , Woja District
